Actor Owen Wilson, famous for  Marley and MeZoolanderStarsky & Hutch, and Wedding Crashers, is filming a new movie called Paint in and around the Capital Region.

Owen Wilson stars as Carl Nargle, veteran host of Vermont’s most popular painting show, think a blonde, crooked-nosed Bob Ross, who must deal with a younger, more accomplished painter coming in and stealing his thunder. Michaela Watkins from Saturday Night Live playing the new, younger painter and Wendi McLendon-Covey from The Goldbergs in it as well. Also, Steve Root from Office Space plays the owner of the Vermont PBS station that Wilson works at.

So far Owen Wilson is the only star from the show seen around town. Owen was spotted in Saratoga Springs shooting scenes with his big afro and 70s clothes. He also has been seen in a pretty sweet 70s custom van too.

Recently, they moved production from Saratoga Springs to North Greenbush.  Owen Wilson was even nice enough to take a break from filming Paint to take a picture with North Greenbush Police Chief David Keevern and Officer Gervais. The North Greenbush police have been handling traffic control and security for the production while they've been in the area.

But that hair, though! Owen Wilson was gracious enough to meet Chief Keevern and Officer Gervais. Wilson is in town...

So don't be surprised if you see someone that kinda looks like a Bob Ross impersonator with a crooked nose somewhere in the Capital Region this weekend. It's just Owen Wilson who is in just another TV or movie production that is filming in the Capital Region.
