Albany Plays A Role In New Stephen King Story

Are you a fan of Stephen King? You will find some local influence in his latest story.

In Stephen's new book 'If It Bleeds' Albany plays a little but of a role. According to the Times Union, the paper itself serves as the place of employment for the narrator in one of the stories in the book called 'Mr. Harrigan's Phone.' The narrator also mentions having a drink at the Madison Pour House.

Simon & Schuster, the publisher of the book describes it as "...an extraordinary collection of four new and compelling novellas...each pulling you into intriguing and frightening places."

One of the cool things Kind always does is work in real towns and some of their local flavor into his writings. I think it is one of the things that can make his books extra comepelling and well scary? those real life references make his fictional writings feel a little bit more like real life. And now Albany gets the nod this go round.
