It all depends on who ya ask!

As we start to experience some real summer-like weather this week with a few days of temperatures in the 80's, maybe you are starting to wonder if warmer than normal temperatures will be the trend. As forecasters begin to try to predict the months ahead, it all depends on the perspective.

The Weather Channel summer outlook is saying starting in June the Northeastern United Stated should see temperatures that aright near or slightly above average. This trend will start in June and continue right through July. So what is average for Albany and the Capital Region? The National Weather Service says our average high temperatures for June are usually around 79 degrees, 84 in July and 82 in August. So if we are looking at the Weather Channel's version of summer, or should be a nice normal summer ahead.

Accuweather on the other hand is taking a little bit of a different take, saying we could see some "intense heat" in late July in August as well as a "stormy" start to the season with a lot of thunderstorms. The Accuweather forecast says temperatures could end up averaging as much as 3 degrees above normal for the season ahead!
