The Altamont Fair may not be happening this summer, but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on your favorite fair foods.

One of the bummers of summer 2020 is all the events that have been cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic, inclduding the Altamont Fair. It will be missed by so many, but, ya gotta love how the fair is taking some lemons to make some lemonade. Literally!

This weekend Fair Food Fest will be kicking off at the Altamont Fairgrounds. Every weekend during the month of July you can visit the fairgrounds to enjoy some of your favorite fair foods. This weekend steak sandwiches, fried dough, chicken on a stick, lemonade, pizza, wine slushies and so much more will be available from some of your favorite fair food vendors. You can see what is on the menu for this weekend and get more info about the fest here.

Each weekend you can drive-thru to get your fair food during the following times:

  • Friday: 4 - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 12 - 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 - 6 p.m.

What an awesome idea this is! Losing the fair is tough for everyone involved, but this is a great way to create some business to fair vendors who certainly need the support right now. This will also allow Capital Region residents to still enjoy some summer flavor! The season just wouldn't be the same without having your share of your favorite fair foods.
