As a lifelong Capital Region sports fan who has just so happened to be in radio for most of my professional life the chance to “join the Team” pun intended was the kind of offer I’ve been dreaming of. Growing up a Yankees, Knicks and Raiders fan(a punishment I share with my beautiful daughter Ella) I’ve felt the pain and success that comes with diehard fandom. Luckily for me my friends that love the Giants have adopted me so I have a reason to watch football after the Raiders have been eliminated EARLY every season for the last 10 plus years. I’m excited to talk sports and enjoy multiple happy hours with all the sports fans of the Cap Region…even the Red Sox fans.

Sports Arenas, Museums, Zoos And Movie Theaters About To Expand Capacity
Great news for fans of the Nets, Knicks, Islanders, Rangers, and Albany Empire. In today's coronavirus press briefing, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the current 10% capacity limit set on all indoor sports arenas in New York state will increase to 25% on Wednesday, May 19th. This is great news for teams like the Nets, Knicks, and Islanders who all appear to be headed to postseason play. The Rangers are far from a lock for the postseason but still alive thanks to a four-game sweep over the New Jersey Devils. This also confirms the reports that the Albany Empire would be able to host 25% of the Times Union Center for their home opener now scheduled for Saturday, May 29th.
Travers Stakes To Air On Fox Sports Through 2030
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) and Fox Sports have reached an agreement that will keep Saratoga and Belmont racing on Fox Sports through 2030. The relationship between NYRA and Fox Sports was the only way for a lot of fans on New York Horse racing to see any of the action last season due to The COVID-19 pandemic. I know all parties involved are hoping fans will be able to safely return to the tracks this summer but knowing they can watch on Fox Sports as well is a very good thing.

Trump’s Golf Swing Is A Thing Of Um Beauty
I've always been the guy that wished he could golf more and also wished I could golf better than I do. Some of the biggest meetings between powerful people happen on the golf course. Long before he became the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump was known to spend time golfing for business and for pleasure. I'll admit I was curious to see how President Trump swung the clubs and now thanks to Swing Coach P.J. Cowan we get a clean look at the Commander and Chiefs' drive.
Warner Brothers 2021 New Films Will Debut HBO Max
I have good news for movie buffs out there, Warner Brothers and HBO Max have struck a deal that will allow you to watch new releases on the app the same day they hit theaters in 2021. During this COVID-19 pandemic, most of us have watched almost every movie available some of us have watched them all twice. I find myself refreshing home screens on NETFLIX, HULU, Disney +, and now HBO Max over and over hoping for anything different. Wonder Woman and the Justice League are coming to our rescue yet again!

Now that we're hearing that pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has a vaccine close to approval we can start to dream about live events like sports and concerts again. We now have our first sign of how different live shows could be when they return. Ticketmaster is reportedly working on a plan that would require ticket buyers to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test from 24 to 72 before admission to a show.
‘Tiger King’ Associate Taken Into Custody In Local Jail
The Netflix miniseries "Tiger King" was one of the most-watched and most popular shows during the early stages of quarantine. It was nearly impossible to find someone that hadn't watched the tales of Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. There were other "associates" that grabbed the spotlight as well. One of those was Timothy Lee Stark, who was associated with Joe Exotic and the rest of the crew of individuals that made their livings by taking advantage of exotic animals. Mr. Stark was a fugitive from the state of Indiana until earlier today when he was taken into custody by the Granville Village Police Department to be booked into the Washington County Jail.
