President-elect Joe Biden has revealed his proposal for another phase of COVID-19 relief.

The incoming Commander In Chief laid out his "American Rescue Plan" in a speech this evening. In the last few weeks, one of the ongoing debates in Washington, DC has been about stimulus payments, and the $1.9 trillion Biden proposal will include an additional $1,400 in direct payments to get Americans to the $2,000 benchmark that has been widely discussed, according to CNBC. CNBC outlined the full plan which also calls for $400 a week federal unemployment through September, a federal minimum wage increase to $15 per hour, funds for COVID testing and vaccinations, aid to state and local governments, education funding, and tax relief for families.

Now the next step and the biggest hurdle will be getting this pushed through Congress and Senate. CNBC says Biden will look to push through this first phase of his proposal in the next few months.
