It was most certainly a rough Game One for Kevin Huerter and the Atlanta Hawks.  They suffered a 115-91 loss in a game where the Miami Heat were always in control and pretty much had the lead the entire team.  Trae Young was inefficient to say the least as he finished 1-12 from the field and 0-7 from three with 8 points overall.  Miami's defense was stifling and it visibly frustrated Young all game long.  Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

Atlanta is not beating Miami, if they can’t get other players involved in the offense when Trae Young is having an off night. Why not feature Kevin Huerter? Let the former Shenendehowa and Maryland product get a few more shots up, instead of standing around and waiting for Young to take over the game offensively. Young is a great player, but he can’t single handily beat the Heat. Atlanta won’t beat Miami if they need Young to be a one man show every time out. Atlanta has plenty of other players who can score the ball, including Huerter. After getting blown out in Game one, let’s see if the Hawks can make the necessary adjustments heading into Game two.

MJ and I had a discussion on Game One earlier this morning and gave our thoughts and opinions on what we saw from the Atlanta Hawks.  Below is our full conversation on this.

I am sure hoping for a better game in Game Two and I am also hoping for the Hawks to challenge the Heat and make this a long and difficult series for them.  Game Two is Tuesday night in Miami and I predict it will be closer.
