With cases of COVID-19 still rising, parents and children are wondering how safe it will be to celebrate Halloween this year. In an attempt to have some normalcy in our lives, the City of Albany will host events throughout the city for Halloween.

The City of Albany will work in conjunction with Price Chopper/Market 32, Spectrum News, Trader Joe’s, and Stanton’s Feura Farm & Markets to help host Halloween events throughout the city.

Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced the events and stressed the importance of maintaining the COVID-19 safety protocol. She said, “The City of Albany wants to ensure our residents have a safe opportunity to celebrate Halloween as we continue to stop the spread of COVID-19, and these events are designed to do just that. I encourage our residents to take part in the socially distanced, COVID-19 compliant events. While door-to-door trick-or-treating has not been banned, both Governor Cuomo and the CDC have advised that it is a high-risk activity.”
