Colonie LongHorn Steakhouse Announces Opening Date

We love restaurant openings here in the Capital Region and we've been waiting for this announcement for awhile. Wait no longer, we know when you can get more steak on Wolf Rd.

We first heard the news about a LongHorn Steakhouse in 2013 and after some long years of waiting, it became official, but that's all we had. Once the Lazare auto dealership was closing and selling their land, the steakhouse developer quickly picked it up and the countdown was on.

According to the Times Union, after having to wait for awhile for news, we don't have to wait long for the opening. LongHorn Steakhouse just added an "Albany" page to their website and announced that the official opening will be on October 22nd.

The point was brought up at the Times Union but it is strange that we have so many steakhouses within a certain mile radius. Wolf Rd is also home to Texas Roadhouse and the long-standing Outback Steakhouse really close-by. I haven't experienced all of the steakhouses and I guess I'll have to side with the Times Union and just wait to see for myself.
