I will be getting my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine later this week and I was all set to laminate it. But now I am not sure I should yet. There are a few places that will laminate your vaccine card for free but some people are saying to wait but keep it safe.

If you don't want to wait and are ready to get your vaccine card laminated, according to WIVB, there are a few places that you can get it done for free. Staples and Office Depot are offering to laminate your vaccine card for free. Office Depot has a coupon you can print out to bring in and get it done. Staples is honoring free laminating with proof of your vaccination card. But you may want to wait.

I have a friend in the National Guard and he said there is a chance that there may be a third shot given to combat the COVID-19 variants that are out there. So I am thinking that maybe I will wait to get mine laminated. Since many places are going to require proof of vaccination to enter like sporting events, concerts, flights, and cruises, it may be wise to protect it. I am thinking that I will use one of those plastic sheaths to protect my COVID-19 vaccination card like the sleeves used for baseball cards. This way it's not fully laminated but protected.

It is also recommended to take a picture of your COVID-19 vaccine card to have additional proof in case you lose it. If you do happen to lose it, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says you should contact the place where you got your shots. You can also contact your local or state immunization office.
