Embrace Winter At These Capital Region Ice Bars

You can make anything fun by pairing it with a bar, even winter.

We all know nothing beats an ice cold beer or cocktail. Which makes visiting an ice bar the perfect winter past time. New York Upstate (NYUP)  has compiled an amazing list of ice bars in the area, including two close by in the Capital Region.

The Mill at Round Lake will have it's fourth annual 'Fire and Ice Bar' Jan. 31 through Feb. 15. You can check this one out Fridays and Saturdays, and NYUP says they even have some ice games to keep you entertained like ice shuffle board and ice corn hole. The Mill's outdoor area is great in the summer, and you have to imagine just as fun in the winter.

Another close by ice bar to check it is Bailey's on Phila Street in Saratoga Springs, though the time window for this one is short as it will be open on Feb. 9 and 10. If you are up for a little drive, NYUP says there are several ice bars in Lake George including at The Sagamore and Lake George Beach Club. You can get more info on those here.
