February Temperature Outlook: Will Albany's Mild Winter Continue?

By the looks of this latest report fro the Weather Channel, the worst of winter may be behind us.

It's hard to believe, but the early snow we got in December may be it for really measurable storms this winter in the Capital Region. We all know that could change on a dime here in Upstate New York, but looking at February temperature predictions from the Weather Channel you have to guess the chance of big snow is pretty unlikely.

After high temperatures averaging 10 degrees above normal in Albany in January, the Weather Channel is predicting another mild month for the Northeastern United States with "above average" in February. You have to guess with above average temperatures in February, our weather will probably be like January: pretty much snowless, and rainy when we do get precipitation.

After the huge storm we got in December, if you love snow, this winter has definitely been a letdown. That said this is still upstate New York. Which means the next 29 days will probably end up being freezing cold with a ton of snow. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
