As 2020 comes to an end, there is good news coming from the Empire State Plaza. They will be offering their Fitness at the Plaza exercise program in the new year. There will be protocols in place and a variety of free classes available. Here are the details. If you are looking to start up a fitness regimen in the new year, the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) is once again offering their free fitness programs that will be held at the Plaza.

According to News 10 ABC, OGS will once again offer the Fitness at the Plaza exercise program. Beginning on Tuesday night January 5th and running Tuesday and Thursday nights from five to six pm through March 25th, the Empire State Plaza Convention Center will hold the classes.

Classes being offered include Fitness Fusion with The Hot Yoga Spot on Tuesdays that challenges you to a Barre fitness class with yoga and a boot camp mix of a workout along with Pilates. On Thursdays, it's Bootcamp with Tanny Pro Fitness. These are high-intense, full-body workout classes for all fitness levels. There will be some bodyweight movements and ab-exercises.

The Fitness at the Plaza classes are free and open to all ages and athletic ability. It doesn't matter your fitness level or experience. This year, however, no walk-ins will be allowed due to COVID guidelines. You must preregister for each class you wish to attend. You can do that by clicking HERE. There will be health and safety protocols in place to prevent the spread of COVID.
