If you have a ton of stuff that you sifted through and cleaned out during the lockdown then there is good news for you today. Get out your tables and put up your signs. You are now allowed to have garage and yard sales. I think everyone in some capacity cleaned out and decluttered their home during the coronavirus pandemic. Now you have a way of reselling and making some money off of the items you no longer need. Garage sales and yard sales have been approved to open across New York state.

According to WKBW.com, New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul announced that residents of the state are now allowed to hold garage and yard sales. There are some specific guidelines that need to be followed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul stated:

“I know that many people rely on garage sales and yard sales to sell unwanted items or to shop for good finds for their families. I spent many Saturdays in search of children’s toys and clothes at sales in my community, so I know their value.

She also added that they are relying on the residents and the garage and yard sale hosts to be socially distanced, wear masks, and limit the number of people at the sale to ten at a time. This will make sure that everyone is protected during the coronavirus pandemic.

Will you be attending or hosting a garage or yard sale this weekend? What's the coolest thing you ever found at a garage sale?
