Oliver's Cafe served breakfast and lunch on Freeman's Bridge Road in Glenville for nearly twenty-eight years. They opened in October of 1993, according to the Times Union, and the owners Claudia and Warren Bush say it is time to retire. They state in their Facebook post that the restaurant business is a "young person's business". But they colorfully explained how much they loved having Oliver's Cafe in Glenville.

They reflect upon all that Oliver's Cafe was to them and their customers. In the Facebook post they explain:

We are extremely humbled that so many of you embraced our restaurant and that we were able to succeed for so long. Olivers was the site of first dates, marriage proposals, graduation celebrations, breakfast with friends, children growing up and many other completely routine moments. Olivers was comforting, Oliver’s was a welcoming smiling face. Olivers was home.

They also go on to say how much they will miss their regular customers and they say they had thousands. They thanked those customers saying, "Thank you, to all our customers we loved taking care of you, and thank you for taking care of us too." They have set up a memory wall that you can come by and sign. They say that want people to "get a last few meal, share stories and write on our memory wall so we can say goodbye.

Oliver's Cafe isn't closing just yet. Their final meals will be served on August 29th. They are located at 181 Freemans Bridge Road near Route 50 close to the Schenectady County Airport in Glenville. They are open from 7 am to 2 pm, Wednesday to Sunday, and are closed Monday and Tuesday.
