Governor Cuomo Reacts To Capitol Breach: “Failed Attempt At A Coup”

It was a scary situation today as protesters stormed the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. while the Electoral College votes were being certified.

The photos from the scene are hard to believe, including some of the protesters in the Senate chamber laughing and taking photos.

New York lawmakers are reacting to the events that unfolded in Washington, D.C., including Governor Cuomo. He tweeted out earlier this evening writing "We must call today's violence what it actually is: a failed attempt at a coup." You can see his full tweet and statement below:
