Halfmoon Sandwich Shoppe Owners Announce New Venture in Clifton Park!

After a fifteen-year run, the Halfmoon Sandwich & Salad Shoppe closed its doors on August 20th. Although it appears to be the end of this establishment, the owners have announced a new venture.

This Cryptic Sign and Location All Makes Sense Now!

According to Halfmoon Sandwich Shoppe's Facebook page, the owners have made it official. They are moving into the location at 1218 Route 146. They kept good on their word too saying that it would be a "new concept, new location." Owner Sean Lee said that the announcement would come in late fall but we found out today that it will be Bella Lucia's Pizzeria and the opening will be later this fall.

What Used to Be in That Location?

Back in the late 1980s when the Vent Fitness location was Starburst Roller Rink, the building in the forefront was Mama's Pizza. It was perfect for an after-skate slice. Fast forward to today, the building was supposed to open as Stromboli's Pizza & Grill but never opened because of the pandemic. Now we know it will be another pizzeria known as Bella Lucia's Pizzeria.

Many former customers of The Halfmoon Sandwich & Salad Shoppe are hoping and commenting on the store's Facebook page hoping they do offer some of the fabulous sandwiches. One Facebook comment read, "I love your sandwiches with breaded eggplant--hope you keep at least one!"
