In these uncertain times, the Food Pantries of the Capital District is here to help. Brian and Chrissy spoke with the Executive Director, Natasha Pernicka, about what donations are needed and how you and your family can get the food you need. There are over sixty-five food pantries all over the Capital Region. They assist families like a grocery store so that families don't go hungry. There are a few protocol changes in place because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Food Pantries of the Capital District is asking anyone who needs assistance to call a special Food Access Referral Line. 518-458-1167 ext 108. All of their pantries are open but with appointments scheduled to promote social distancing.

Here is the interview with Natasha:

The Food Pantries of the Capital region are also in need of donations. The best way to contribute is a monetary donation. The dollars that are donated are stretched much further at The Food Pantries. You can also donate goods. They are accepting food and hygiene products. Volunteers are also needed and welcome.
