Hillary Clinton Has Big Plans For Upstate New York This Month

Former Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Clinton is coming to Upstate New York this month for a public address that’s very near to her heart. Clinton has recently been in the headlines for an interview with CBS News saying that she will not run for President again after her 2016 loss.

This time Clinton is not campaigning for anyone, herself included. She comes to honor another former First Lady and several other women for their outstanding achievements.

Hillary Clinton will be in Geneva, New York on Saturday, September 24 for this year’s National Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Smith Opera House. She will give the ceremony's opening address as this year's honorary chair.

The National Women’s Hall of Fame opened in Seneca Falls in 1969. With this year’s nine additions, the Hall has 303 total inductees including Helen Keller, Harriet Tubman, Lucille Ball, and Aretha Franklin. Clinton is also a National Women’s Hall of Fame inductee herself, having been added in 2005.

Clinton will be sharing the spotlight with another First Lady – Michelle Obama is in this year’s class for her humanitarian, legal, and written work. Obama is attending the ceremony virtually, with the other six living inductees attending in person

Tickets to the induction ceremony are $209.85 and available here. There will also be free events, including a festival and fireworks show in Seneca Falls on Friday, September 23. On Sunday, September 25, the Hall of Fame will host a free open house.
