Derek Jeter’s NY Castle To Be Auctioned! Want to Buy the House Jeter Built?
Many of us dream of growing up and playing short stop for the New York Yankees. Those of us that have shared that dream may have ended our baseball career while in Little League or possibly High School. Derek Jeter made that dream come true and went on to be a 5 time World Series Champion, 14 time All-Star and owner of a castle in New York.
Now it looks like you will have the chance to live part of that dream as his castle compound is expected to be auctioned in December. Want to bid on Derek Jeter's castle?
6sqft reports that Baseball Hall of Famer and New York Yankees great Derek Jeter purchased the property at 14 Lake Shore Road in Greenwood Lake, NY around 2003 for approximately $425,000. For nearly 20 years Jeter has owned the 50,000 square foot compound on 4 acres of land featuring a castle and a Statue of Liberty replica.
According to agent Diane Mitchell at Wright Brothers Real Estate, the home also known as Tiedemann Castle, also features a main house with elevator, guest house, infinity pool, a lagoon, boat house, and much more. Take a look through the pictures below.
Paramount Realty USA indicates that Derek Jeter's castle and surrounding property is scheduled for auction on Thursday December 15, 2022. The opening bid is $6.5 Million, which sounds like a great profit. However, this home was previously listed for $14.7 Million which is quite a reduction.
Who are we kidding? We are just fantasizing here so let's take a look around the house that Jeter built.
