MLB Champion Ian Anderson to Make Appearance in Clifton Park

It was only a few years ago that Atlanta Braves star pitcher Ian Anderson and Atlanta Hawks star guard Kevin Huerter were high school teammates on the Shen baseball and basketball teams. A lot has changed since they graduated high school, but for one afternoon on Saturday, their worlds will once again collide here in the 518!

As confident and skilled as both Anderson and Huerter were while playing for Shen in 2016, there's a very little chance that anyone could have predicted that two friends from the same hometown, would be crushing it in the professional ranks for their respective franchises in 2021. It's actually quite remarkable, and on Saturday, both Anderson and Huerter will be teammates once again - well, in theory anyway.

In 2021, Kevin Heurter and his family opened Impact Athletics, a multi-sport facility located in Halfmoon, and on Saturday, Anderson will be appearing there for 3 hours, signing autographs and memorabilia, while catching up with some old friends, and meeting a slew of new ones.
