New Exhibit at Maritime Museum in Kingston

Being a new resident in the Capital Region I am eager to explore all that the area has to offer. Don't get me wrong, I have been to SPAC for several shows and I have hiked some of the trails in the area. I found all of the Dunkin' locations close to my home and I visited the world's largest Walmart located at Crossgates Commons in Albany. That place is incredible and who knew you had an escalator just for your shopping cart?! That is amazing!

I do realize that there is much more to the Capital Region than what I have seen so far and I can't wait to see more. With the weather getting colder I was looking for indoor attractions that might be cool. That is when I found the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston. The history intrigues me and might do the same for you.

With the pandemic I wasn't certain that the museum would be open but it is and they have added a new exhibit in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Department of Environmental Conservation. "Rescuing the River: 50 Years of Environmental Activism on the Hudson" spotlights five decades of the policies implemented to protect natural resources

The Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston is open, with new hours, Friday, Saturday and Sunday's from 12 Noon - 5pm. All visitors must wear masks inside the museum building and adhere to social distancing whenever possible. Masks will be provided if you don't have one. Extensive social distancing policies are in place to keep you safe while exploring the museum.
