If you are seeking relief from homeschooling your kids, this is not the news you want to hear.

According to a CBS 6 report, Governor Cuomo announced today that there will be no in person sessions for summer school and at this time kids going back to school as scheduled this fall is still up in the air. It is just too early too tell if it will be safe to go back as scheduled. CBS 6 did say guidelines for schools to reopen should be announced sometime in June and in turn the schools will need to submit plans to reopen in July.

As far as what the next few months will look like, I think we are going to learn a lot in the coming weeks during our first phases of reopening. All the uncertainty as far as school and everything else is based on the fact that no one knows at this point how the virus situation will react or develop. You have to imagine if everyone keeps wearing masks and practicing social distancing we can eradicate this virus to a point where more things can start happening, but only time will tell.

If you are homeschooling, time is the last thing you want to wait on! It is certainly stressful and after 2 months I know from experience you could use a break. Just keep your fingers crossed we get on track for school to reopen on time in the fall.
