Summer is officially here and it could be a hot one. These are the hottest days on record in Albany history.

Weather forecasters are saying we could be in for a hotter than average summer here in Upstate New York, but will we see any days that rank among the hottest in Albany history?

I was actually shocked by this first stat because I figured the number would be higher. But since temperature records have been kept, Alban has only hit or surpassed the century mark14 times. And I found this stat even hotter, or harder to believe: we have not hit 100 degrees in Albany since 1953! How is that possible?

Maybe with a hot summer ahead, this will be the year we finally break the century mark and add to this list of the hottest days in Albany history!
