Got Student Loans? You'll Love What President Biden Is Doing

The average student loan debt is over $30,000 and there may be some sort of relief on the horizon for those who are struggling to pay their Federal loans back.

In a new report, President Joe Biden is working to reduce or eliminate Federal student loans up to $10,000 for those who qualify.

The latest news for student loan forgiveness shows that Biden cancelled $415 million of student loans for 16,000 more student loan borrowers. Biden has now cancelled nearly $15.5 billion of student loans, which is the most of any president.

This is great news as we are seemingly coming out of the pandemic that has plagued the local and world economy for the last two years. For those who are recent graduates and have started families, this may be huge news not only short term month to month, but in the long run for those who are trying to get loans. Large outstanding debts like student loans may have an impact on an individuals credit. Having the large loan wiped by the feds would be a major financial win.

While some are feeling the benefits now, there is a push to completely eliminate the outstanding loans.

NEW MOVIE BEING FILMED IN EAST AURORA

This is so exciting! One of Western New York's most popular villages is getting another shot at the big screen. East Aurora has a great tradition of being a quaint, yet progressive village and has attracted the eye of film producers again.

Our family happened to be shopping at Vidler's in East Aurora over the weekend and stumbled on film crews and actors in action on Main Street. The world-famous five and dime was the backdrop for the new movie that will be presented during the holiday season this year.

According to Don Vidler:

The movie’s working title is “Romance on Ice”, but it will undoubtedly be changed to something more Christmast-y when it airs on TV. Which is planned for this (2022) holiday season. Not positive which network, but could be Hallmark or Lifetime.

The new movie is being directed by Fred Olin Ray who has done four previous films in East Aurora: A Prince for Christmas (2015); A Christmas in Vermont (2016); A Christmas Princess (2019); A Royal Christmas Engagement (2020)

Don Vidler also shared that the lead actors are: Jonathan Stoddard (the Prince!), Anna Marie Dobbins (the small town gal he falls in love with), Chris Collins (hometown honey that loses his girl) and Chris is a Clarence native.

The weather was perfect this past weekend for this. It was definitely cold but the key to the weather was the fresh snow that we had just received. East Aurora Vidler's looked great and I can only imagine how good they will look once the movie is complete.
