Old Timer's Day began for the New York Mets in the magical year of 1969. Good things happened that year, including their "Amazin" World Championship, amongst a myriad of major world events. The scrooge-like former Mets owners, Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz killed the beloved event in 1994. They were probably tired of hearing former Mets players mock their ownership's lack of baseball knowledge...but that's a story for another day. Old Timer's Day is back and it's Saturday at Citi Field.

Who Will You See At This Year’s Cooperstown Parade Of Legends?
For the first time since 2019, the Hall of Fame Parade of Legends returns to Cooperstown for Induction Weekend for the Class of 2022. Dozens of Hall of Fame legends ride down Main Street in the backs of pick-up trucks en route to a private reception at the Museum. The Parade of Legends begins at 6pm and will feature an appearance by members of Cooperstown Youth Baseball and Softball 12u teams, music from the award-winning Baldwinsville High School band and the Cooperstown Veterans Color Guard.
