After a fifteen-year run, the Halfmoon Sandwich & Salad Shoppe closed its doors on August 20th. Although it appears to be the end of this establishment, the owners have announced a new venture and an opening date.

Downtown Albany is getting a new pizzeria that is replacing a former one. But the new pizza place is completely different from what was once there. The owners say that they are taking a neighborhood pizzeria to the next level while keeping it affordable.

I couldn't believe that my favorite pizza place announced that it will be closing its doors for good after a ten-year run. I was happy to learn that it had nothing to do with the coronavirus pandemic. But all in all, very disappointed that I won't be able to enjoy one of my favorite local places after this coming weekend.
