Where's My Money? How To Check The Status Of Your Stimulus $$$

Millions of Americans are still waiting for their stimulus checks or deposits to show up. I happen to be one of them. I check my banking app about 10,000 times a day.....I just checked again while I was writing this....nope still not there.

The Treasury Department says not to worry, if you are eligible to get a stimulus check you'll get one. It might even come as a check. The deposits are going out first and started a couple of days ago and will continue for the next couple of weeks.

According to the IRS website www.irs.gov, there are two things you can do to make sure you get your stimulus payment as fast as possible. One, file your 2019 taxes if you haven't already. Two, make sure your address and direct deposit information is correct.

In addition, if you're impatient like me and want to know when that money is going to hit your account go to www.irs.com and select "Get My Payment". All you do is enter a little personal information and it should let you know when to expect your payment. I will tell you that the system is overwhelmed at the moment and has been a little hit and miss on providing the status of your payment. So, be patient.
