Your Furry Friend Can Sit on Santa’s Lap at These Capital Region Places

Christmas isn't just for kids. Our furry friends want to meet the big guy too. It's time to have your dog sit on Santa's lap or if they are too big, sit right next to him for a cute holiday photo. Here's where your dog can meet Santa Claus.

Colonie Center

You don't have to dress up your dog to get its picture taken with Santa. But if I were to take Freddie, he would definitely be in his elf attire. Colonie Center allows you to get your pet's picture taken with Santa on Wednesdays December 8th and 15th from 4 pm until 7 pm.

Benson's Pet Centers

At Benson's Pet Centers they are having pet photos with Santa on different days at their many locations. Here's the breakdown:

• Wilton Benson's: Monday, December 6th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm
• Queensbury Benson's: Wednesday, December 8th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm
• Pittsfield Benson's: Thursday, December 9th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm
• Colonie Benson's: Friday, December 10th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm
• Clifton Park Benson's: Sunday, December 12th from 12 - 2 pm
• Johnstown Benson's: Sunday, December 12th from 4 - 6 pm

Petsmart Locations in the Capital Region

Petsmart has locations in Saratoga Springs, Amsterdam, Latham, Albany Schenectady, Clifton Park, Rensselaer, Glenmont, and Hudson are all holding photo sessions with Santa on December 11th and 12th also December 18th and 19th from noon until 3 pm. Appointments are encouraged. Call ahead to your local Petsmart.

Petco Locations in the Capital Region

Petco has locations in Latham, Colonie, Clifton Park, and Queensbury. Get your pet's photo with Santa in Latham on December 7th and 17th starting at 3 pm. In Clifton Park on December 11th from 1-2:30, and December 23rd from 1:30 until 3 pm. At Colonie Petco, they encourage you to call and set up an appointment at 518-453-9025. At Queensbury Petco they want you to call ahead at 518-792-3960.
