We can finally say this, and mean it: it's getting warmer in the Capital Region.
The cold, dreadful winter days are getting longer, and getting sunnier, which means the spring and summer months are almost upon us. If we're lucky, the days of breaking out the boots and shovels are behind us.
With the warm months approaching, Capital Region foodies will be able to emerge from their hibernations, and begin to seek out the best locally-grown fruits and vegetables, and the best homemade foods, anywhere in Upstate New York.
All of this can be found in Farmers' Markets, and here is everywhere you can find those in Albany County.

The Full List of Summer Farmers' Markets in Albany County
With a grand total of 14 recognized locations, here is everywhere that you can find a farmers' market this summer in Albany County.
As you'll probably notice, a number of these locations are listed as "Veggie Mobile" on New York's state website.
That's because a number of registered farmers' market locations, are actually, mobile farmers' markets. These mobile markets are the Capital Roots' Veggie Mobiles, which work to serve underprivileged areas across the Capital Region, including right in the capital city. Veggie Mobiles bring fruits and vegetables, as well as meats and dairy products into neighborhoods that often don't have access to fresh food on a local basis.
They offer these products at affordable prices, allowing residents of underprivileged neighborhoods to still be able to put good food on the table for themselves and their families.
In total, 12 of the 14 farmers' markets in Albany County are identified as these Veggie Mobiles. The other two locations are a weekly market that pops up in Empire State Plaza, as well as the Gade Farm Farm Stand in Altamont, pictured above.
So, if you're in need of fresh produce as we head into the summer months, there's a good chance a market is right down the road from you in Albany County.
