As the saying goes, "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here" might be shouted by bartenders at an earlier time in Albany soon.
According to an article in The Times Union the Albany County Executive is considering a proposal to change the closing time for area bars from 4am to 2am. The reason is because nothing good happens after 2am according to Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy. National statistics show that more alcohol related deaths happen after 2am and that's one of the main reasons for the push to close bars earlier.
