As the pickleball craze sweeps through the Capital Region, new courts are popping up. There is an enormous indoor and outdoor pickleball facility being built in Saratoga County and will open soon. It's called the Legacy Pickleball Club.

Pickleball is all the rage from young to old. It's a sport that incorporates tennis, ping pong, and badminton. Tennis courts are used but modified as pickleball courts. Another indoor pickleball facility is opening in Latham.

Where Is The Legacy Pickleball Club Being Built?

Legacy Pickleball Club is located at 4 McCrea Hill Road in Ballston Spa. It was once the home of Mullen Moving & Storage. A ten-year lease was signed for the building.

What Will Legacy Pickleball Club Offer?

According to News 10 ABC, Legacy Pickleball Club will have eight indoor courts and twenty outdoor pickleball courts. They will have a pro shop and a player lounge as well that will offer food, beer, and wine.

The new facility will also provide paddles and balls. There will be free play and pickleball lessons and clinics.

Michael Xirinachs told News 10 ABC,

We are a very community-minded facility. The game will be able to be played by anyone of any income. We are very philanthropic and give back to the community.

Legacy Pickleball Club hopes to open in November.

There are several more facilities planned throughout New York State. They want to open Legacy Pickleball Clubs in Utica, Syracuse, and Rochester. There is also a plan to possibly open up one inside Colonie Center.
