This morning there was a topic on “The Breakfast Club” this morning about the upcoming presidential race. The question was "Who should Biden choose as VP? Should this person be a black woman?"

There have been many names thrown out there as potential Vice Presidents. Is Joe Biden obligated to pick a black woman as vice president?

Many feel like he is and should pick a black woman as Vice President because he was the Vice President to the first black president, Barack Obama. On the other side of the fence, people feel like this is Tokenism. Why does the Vice President have to be a black woman? Why can’t he or she be anyone who qualifies for the job?

He/she can be Asian, Indian, Black, White, Gay, Straight, Transgendered, even Native American. Tokenism should not be something people should want. Tokenism has no value if the person is only a token and not truly qualified.

If he does pick a black woman will she better actually do something for black people and not just be a token person? The person that should be picked is the best person for the job. Also someone that people like as a person.

This will be a difficult decision because Donald Trump has such a strong personality. Joe Biden has to make a good choice because his Vice Presidential choice really will determine whether he wins the election in November.

Check out the video with the Breakfast Club. Who do you feel enthusiastic about being the Vice President of the United States?
