While gas prices skyrocket, New York State’s aggressive anti-climate-change legislation has one Capital Region town considering a ban on new fueling stations altogether.
This week, Schenectady County became the first in the Capital Region to opt in on a sales tax cap on gasoline. Passed unanimously, the vote is being praised as politicians protecting the people and fighting for the working class. In reality, it’s a terrible move.
Many places are starting to slowly open again and more people want to get out and travel. As everything slowly gets going, gas prices are starting to rise just in time for the holiday weekend.
